Dear colleagues,
We are approaching the traditional summaries of the year. And it was an extremely busy time for the “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques” Editorial Team. Achieving an IF at a level above 1 forces us to work harder and harder on improving the quality of our publications. We are increasingly trying to help our authors to improve their scientific skills, so that they and their papers are noticed in the world of medicine. The increasing level of citability of our publications may indicate that we have succeeded. We are happy that we are read in different parts of the world by specialists from various fields of surgical medicine.
And this issue can be an example of this. You will find 15 new papers on minimally invasive surgery, gynecology, urology, thoracic surgery and anesthesiology. Among all of them I especially recommend to surgeons a very interesting review on pelvic organ prolapse.
I also remind you of our latest competition for the most interesting meta-analysis, the details of which can be found on our website.
And for the upcoming holiday season and the end of the year, I wish everyone peace and rest from everyday hard work, many meetings with the family and among friends. Let this time be a period of reflection and preparation for many new inspirations in the upcoming year of 2020.
See you at meetings and conferences in 2020! See you also in “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques”.

Kind regards,
NCU Prof. Jacek Szeliga
