Dear Friends,
It is a very difficult time for everyone. The time of the COVID-19 pandemic is becoming a huge, unprecedented challenge, especially for all of us healthcare professionals. This is a time of particularly hard and dangerous work with our patients. We cannot stop it. Scientific activity is focused on biology, treatment possibilities and the environmental impact of the COVID-19 virus. And although almost all of our conferences and scientific meetings in the first half of the year have already been cancelled, we continue our editorial work believing that this time will pass soon. We still await your original papers. And that is why we are publishing the next, already the second issue of “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques” this year. We do not want the authors to wait too long for the publication of their achievements. Apart from regular surgical and bariatric articles, you will find a real mix of surgical specialties in this issue. Anaesthesiologists participating in minimally invasive procedures are extremely active. There are also three papers in the field of neurosurgery and two on the surgical treatment of children’s diseases. All deal with a common area – miniinvasive surgery. I cordially invite you to read them.
And for the upcoming Easter, we wish you all, authors and reviewers, first and foremost, health and hope. Let this gloomy time pass as soon as possible. See you in the better future.
