Dear Friends,
Despite the hard and completely new times in which we live, we try to keep up our activity and cooperate with scientists from around the world. The result is this 4th issue of “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques”. It contains the now-permanent feature called “Reviews in surgery”. You will find well-designed meta-analyses on various fields of interventional medicine. However, this issue is dominated by minimally invasive surgery of the gastrointestinal tract. This is the field for which “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques” was created from the very beginning. As many as 8 articles discuss the current problems of surgery of the esophagus, stomach, liver and large intestine. Therefore, it can be concluded that every gastroenterological surgeon will find something for him- or herself here. I believe that the scientific level of these papers is so high that they can be cited in your own research. I strongly encourage you to do so. It is thanks to such sharing that the recognition of our journal and its scientific value increase year by year. I cordially encourage you to cooperate with us!
And for the upcoming Christmas season and the end of the year, I wish everyone peace and rest from everyday hard work, and many meetings with the family and among friends. Let this time be a period of reflection and preparation for many new inspirations in the upcoming 2023, hopefully better than this year!
See you at meetings and conferences in 2023! See you also in “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques”…
Kindest regards,
Prof. Jacek Szeliga
