Chairman of the Krakow branch of the Polish Society of Haematology and Transfusiologists, vice-chairman of the Krakow Medical Society, member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.
President of the Professor Julian Aleksandrowicz’s Foundation for the Prevention and Treatment of Blood Diseases, President of the management board of the “Stradomskie Centrum Dialogu” Foundation. Apart from his clinical and scientific work, he involves socially, among others, in the medical care of the pre-war inhabitants of Krakow rescued from the Holocaust and documenting the history of Krakow residents scattered on all continents in the aftermath of the Second World War.
